About Our Temecula Clinic

An Outpatient Mental Health Clinic Built Around Clinical Quality & Genuine Care

When people search for a mental health clinic near Temecula, they often have something specific in mind: a professional setting, licensed clinicians, a range of services, and a process that feels clinical enough to take seriously but human enough to actually talk in.

Golden Oak Family Counseling is exactly that. We are an outpatient mental health clinic serving Temecula, Murrieta, and surrounding Southwest Riverside County communities with individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and group programs. Every clinician on our team is licensed or working toward licensure under direct supervision — and every treatment plan is grounded in evidence.

What sets us apart from larger clinic settings is scale and relationship. We are small enough that your therapist knows you, remembers what you said last session, and cares about what happens between appointments. Large enough to offer specialization, clinical diversity, and backup when your regular therapist is unavailable.

Our clinic is located at 43460 Ridge Park Drive, Suite 245, Temecula, CA 92590, accessible from Murrieta, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, and Wildomar. Secure telehealth sessions are available for clients across California.

Our Standards

The Clinical Standards We Hold Ourselves To

Being a mental health clinic means more than having a nice office. Here's what we commit to as a practice:

  • 01

    Evidence-Based Treatment Only

Every treatment approach we use — CBT, EMDR, Gottman Method, EFT, DBT, CPT — is backed by clinical research. We don't use approaches that lack evidence, regardless of how popular they are.

  • 02

    Honest Assessment and Goal-Setting

We tell clients honestly what they can expect, how long treatment is likely to take, and when we see meaningful progress — and when we don't. No false promises, no indefinite open-ended therapy without goals.

  • 03

    Coordinated Care When Needed

When a client's needs extend beyond outpatient therapy — whether they need a prescriber, a higher level of care, or a specialist in a specific area — we facilitate referrals and coordinate with other providers.

  • 04

    Full Confidentiality and HIPAA Compliance

Client records are protected under California law and HIPAA. We use encrypted, HIPAA-compliant systems for all client communications, documentation, and telehealth sessions.

  • 05

    Ongoing Supervision and Training

Associate clinicians receive regular clinical supervision from our licensed supervisors. All clinicians engage in continuing education and stay current with developments in their specialty areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mental Health Clinic in Temecula — Your Questions Answered

Is Golden Oak a mental health clinic or a private practice?
Both, depending on how you define the terms. We are a licensed outpatient mental health practice offering the full range of clinical services you would expect from a mental health clinic — individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, group therapy, and specialty treatment — in a private-practice setting that emphasizes personalized care and strong therapeutic relationships.
Do you accept walk-ins at your Temecula clinic?
No — all appointments are scheduled in advance. This is intentional: we want your therapist to be prepared for your session, not meet you cold at the door. Scheduling is quick, though. Most new clients are seen within the same week of reaching out.
What levels of care do you offer?
We offer outpatient individual, couples, family, and group therapy. We do not offer intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), or inpatient psychiatric care. If a client needs a higher level of care, we will discuss that honestly and help facilitate a referral to an appropriate program in the area.
How is a mental health clinic different from a psychiatric office?
A psychiatric office is primarily staffed by psychiatrists who evaluate and prescribe psychiatric medication. A mental health clinic like Golden Oak provides talk therapy and counseling from licensed therapists. We do not prescribe medication, but we can provide referrals to prescribers in the Temecula area and coordinate care with your existing psychiatric or primary care providers.
Does your Temecula clinic offer telehealth?
Yes. We offer fully remote telehealth sessions for clients anywhere in California. Telehealth services are available for individual, couples, family, and group therapy. The same clinicians who see clients in person also conduct telehealth sessions — there is no separate telehealth-only team.
